Instrumentation and control service technician (Priva)

Introduction

Priva is an automation system with more than 60 years of experience dedicated to the
control of equipment used to maintain stability in greenhouse cultivation.
We are looking for a technician who will add to our team of technicians in place
to support all of our customers with Priva control systems.

Basic functions

Reporting to the Priva Project Manager, the ideal candidate must have an ability to accurately diagnose and resolve problems. He will be
responsible for supporting technicians on the road, sales, service calls,
optimization, as well as training for users.

Responsibilities

  • Remote customer problem solving
  • Configuring and programming the Priva system remotely and on site
  • Participation in project design
  • Communicate with customers to find out more about their needs
  • Make service calls
  • Communicate with suppliers to obtain information on their equipment
  • Buying and selling parts
  • Sales support for estimates (time and materials)
  • Writing various documents related to his tasks
  • Be on the lookout for new trends, methods, technologies
  • Any other related tasks

Requirements

  • DEP or DEC in a field of expertise related to industrial automation and control
  • Has a minimum experience of 3 years in a similar position
  • Bilingual spoken and written (French and English)
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to learn new software
  • Knowledge of computing principles encompassing networks and hardware
  • Be organized and autonomous
  • Good management of customer pressure/stress
  • Knowing how to adapt and cope with changing situations quickly
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Valid driving license

Working conditions

  • Permanent position of 40 hours per week
  • The exercise of his functions will be carried out mainly from our office and/or teleworking.
  • The technician is required to work outside occasionally
  • Start of employment: as soon as possible.
